![]() | The Australian Society of Mayflower Descendants, Inc. is delighted to announce a meaningful and generous gift from our friends, Capt. James Cook Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The Chapter has kindly donated a hardcopy booklet entitled “Illuminating the Spirit of 1776,” a publication that celebrates the enduring legacy, ideals, and courage born out of the American Revolution. This thoughtful gesture is far more than the presentation of a historical publication - it is a symbol of shared heritage, mutual respect, and the enduring bonds between organisations dedicated to preserving history. |
The themes contained within the booklet resonate deeply with our Society’s own mission. Just as the Mayflower Pilgrims carried forward ideals of faith, perseverance, and community, so too does the spirit of 1776 represent the determination and vision that helped shape a nation. Together, these histories remind us that our past continues to inspire future generations.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Capt. James Cook Chapter for their generosity and for thinking of the Australian Society of Mayflower Descendants. Their gift will become a valued addition to our Society’s resources and an enriching piece for our members to explore and appreciate.
We look forward to sharing this booklet with our community and continuing to strengthen the connections between our organisations across the oceans.
With gratitude and warm appreciation, The Australian Society of Mayflower Descendants, Inc.
