The Australian Society of Mayflower Descendants, Inc. (AUSMD) is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of its new Legacy Membership Advocate Programme, an initiative designed to honour and commemorate the lives and enduring legacies of loved ones who have passed away.
This innovative programme will offer families and friends a meaningful way to recognise and celebrate the connection of deceased relatives and cherished individuals to the Society, by granting them a special posthumous lifetime membership status.
More than simply a commemorative certificate, the Legacy Membership Programme represents a fully developed membership category, thoughtfully designed to ensure lasting recognition within the Society’s community and historical record. It reflects AUSMD’s ongoing commitment to preserving heritage, strengthening family connections, and honouring the contributions of those who came before us.
Speaking on the forthcoming launch, a Society representative noted that the programme will provide “a dignified and enduring tribute, allowing families to formally acknowledge the place their loved ones hold within both their personal histories and the wider Mayflower legacy.”
Full details of the programme—including eligibility, inclusions, and application processes—will be announced in the near future.
The Society encourages members, families, and the broader community to stay tuned for further updates as this exciting initiative is formally unveiled.
