Pilgrim 101© –  Lecture #1 “Saints, Strangers and Sources – How we know What we know”

On Saturday, 17th August 2024, the Pilgrim 101© series kicked off with a lecture by Beth Lambright, former Governor of The Mayflower Society of Oregon and Co-creator of Pilgrim 101©. Beth delved into the intricacies of historical evidence, providing an in-depth analysis of what constitutes a primary source.

In a compelling segment, she examined William Bradford's "Of Plimoth Plantation", shedding light on his motivations and objectives in documenting the Pilgrim' journey. Beth also posed thought-provoking questions on the importance of studying your Pilgrim genealogy.

The event was both enlightening and engaging, leaving attendees with much to ponder. Those who missed the session are encouraged to attend the upcoming bi-monthly lectures - For more information check out the Beyond 1620 website.
